Well-known for his on-target readings and outgoing personality, Robert is set to debut his new show—Dialogue with Destiny—on June 11. As you'll see from our recent Q&A with the new radio host, an hour with Robert promises to enlighten and inspire.
Editor: You must be excited for the debut of your show on June 11! Can you tell us about Dialogue with Destiny?
Robert: I am indeed excited! Dialogue with Destiny is a show that will investigate our evolving needs in living our purpose in the world as Modern Mystics. Each of us has a unique destiny to live out in this world, and my show will focus on how to embody our purpose in practical ways, while exploring the agreements our soul made with the Universe before coming here. And of course, I'll be giving live intuitive-astrological readings to those who call in!
Editor: In your new book, Transforming Fate Into Destiny, you talk about the Cosmic Contract our soul makes for this lifetime. What is a Cosmic Contract and how does it impact our journey in life?
Robert: Our Cosmic Contract is the agreement your soul has made with fate and destiny. Your whole life is guided by this agreement; it's what constitutes the foundation of your purpose!
Editor: What's the difference between fate and destiny?
Robert: Fate is the agreement your soul has made to be bound to certain limitations in this life which contain and direct your purpose. For example, we’re each born into a certain body, family, culture, and at a certain time in history. Once we are here we can't change that–it is our fate! But, destiny asks us how we will use the power of our soul to creatively work with this fate and honor our interconnectedness. For example, if you come from an alcoholic home, destiny would ask you whether you want to perpetuate the alcoholism in your life, or heal it as part of your purpose and help others with the same struggle.
Editor: You also talk about the importance of moving past ego to the soul. What are some ways our listeners can ally themselves with their soul as they fulfill their destiny?
Robert: First we must realize that aligning with the soul is forever a work in progress! That said, there are five main keys to use: Acceptance, Authentic Choice, Surrender, The Law of Attraction, and Prayer.
Editor: What's your take on the meaning of coincidence and synchronicity?
Robert: As cliché as it sounds, there really are no coincidences. Synchronicity exists in every moment of our lives, but to be in a state of constant perception of it would be exhausting! Imagine if you tried to figure out why every thing happened every moment of every day! Luckily, the more we develop our intuition, the more we will know which synchronicities we need to pay attention to.
Editor: Was there a defining moment in your life that inspired you to explore intuitive astrology?
Robert: I am not sure if there was a defining moment, but there certainly was a defining dream experience! I remember when I was 19 years old having this dream in which I was told I would be a well-known astrologer, but that there were missing pieces yet to be seen. In the dream, this was represented by the birthday cake that had missing pieces, but I could still see the word “astrologer” written on it with frosting. I knew that meant I would know the rest in time, and here we are!
Editor: You've taught and studied with Caroline Myss. What influence has she been on your career?
Robert: There has perhaps been no other person that has been more influential on my career than Caroline Myss, especially when it came to honing my own intuitive skills. In fact, it was studying her work with medical intuition that allowed me to integrate intuition into how I work with astrology. Who would have thought that years later I would be teaching my own material to the students at her institute. Gotta love destiny!
